Been playing around with these, starting to get there.
AGS83B, Roland Microcube, line into Audacity.
Both pups, JC Clean, 3 o'clock gain, 2 o'clock tone.
Put a dollop of reverb on 7.2 as you can probably hear, quite liked the twangy effect it gave.

There's a few versions of 7.1 around, I think because Griff varies it a bit, but I went for simplicity mostly because I couldn't get anything else to sound right!
In 7.2 I play the full Bb9 chord at the end rather than the three note version in the TAB because I think it sounds better. I'm not sure that Griff doesn't do this anyway

Way to go Mandy, You're sounding better and better. The 7.2 could be a little cleaner (chords), but another day or so and that will be all she wrote.

Hi Mandy, nothing much wrong with those two. Good timing as usual.
                 Cheers,
                          Stratattack.

p.s. I will probably buy the American Deluxe Strat. But even second hand off a friend it is still not cheap. The new price in the UK is over £1000.

Yeah, it's a a lot of dosh and not something you can just buy on impulse (unless you're loaded).
It's great that you can borrow the Strat and make a really informed decision about whether it suits you.
Certainly sounds very sweet

Thanks all.
The Ibanez is just fantastic, I love it. I still play the Pacifica but keep gravitating back to my semi-hollow. It's in a different league.
