As noted already yeah it gets dicey mixing secure and http ... the easy geek answer is no forum / web server / etc should support or allow http requests anymore. Its not hard to configure that these days ...

But then you get faced with people/customers with old machines / browsers etc ... who cannot get in ...

That's a WAY bigger problem than it might seem at first.

So I got another email alert in my Windows mail about a response to a thread and the link in that email back to the forum is http. Hovering the mouse over it the link is displayed as http and of course clicking leads to that unsecured forum homepage. I would assume that link info is being sent from the forum software. I think all my devices are logging into https now from the bookmarks.

Yeah so think I'm in the secure zone now but wondering how to change my password without losing contact completely? Forgot password maybe for a reset? Hang the hackers and spammers...
