In my house, the word, “or,” doesn’t come up very often…<\/p>\n

“Do you want cake ‘or<\/em>‘ a brownie…”<\/p>\n

“Are you having the french fries ‘or<\/em>‘ the baked potato…”<\/p>\n

This sort of thing just doesn’t really happen in these parts (my wife’s Italian and a great cook \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Needless to say, that gusto has moved into other areas of life…<\/p>\n

“Do you play with a pick ‘or<\/em>‘ your fingers?”<\/p>\n

“Do you play blues ‘or<\/em>‘ other styles?”<\/p>\n

“Do you play a Strat ‘or<\/em>‘ a Les Paul?”<\/p>\n

These are phrases that mystify me…<\/p>\n

We are all guitar players, we play guitar, that’s what we do. Sure, we love the blues, but that doesn’t mean we don’t grab a country lick once in a while, or throw in some jazz or a rock chord.<\/p>\n

And while I love playing with a pick, the sweet sounds of fingerstyle guitar are beautiful and life would be dull without those too.<\/p>\n

So don’t limit yourself with this crazy ‘or’ word that just doesn’t make sense anyway… it’s all<\/em> good.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
