One of the biggest elements of my Major Minor Blues Shapes<\/a> course (among others) is the idea of focusing on root notes in the box patterns and learning to comfortably change between major and minor blues sounds from any of them.<\/p>\n

Why? Well, simply put, it’s because you often find yourself in a strange place when you’re soloing.<\/p>\n

You just finished up a cool lick, and now you find yourself around the 3rd string in the middle of the neck in the key of G… and all of a sudden it’s as if you’ve never seen the neck before.<\/p>\n

Sound familiar? That’s because you’ve never looked at your boxes in that way before… so I’d like to help with that.<\/p>\n
