It’s pretty amazing to me the influence some of the more underrated guitarists have on the guitar legends of the music industry. Eric Clapton has been a long time collaborator with the great JJ Cale. Unfortunately, we lost the great JJ Cale at the age of 74 to a heart attack in Southern California recently so I wanted to celebrate his life and music by sharing a few of his videos with you here at Blues Guitar Unleashed. JJ Cale was a pretty phenomenal guitarist that played with a whole bunch of soul every time he picked up the guitar. He didn’t get much attention from the popular crowd, but nonetheless his songs made it to the top whether he was playing them or somebody else was paying tribute in their own ways. I collected a few live performances from JJ featuring him and his band, a mash up with the great Leon Russell, and one of the many performances with Eric Clapton. I’m sure there are many more videos out there, so feel free to share some of your favorites in the comments section below. Enjoy!<\/p>\n
