I’m always on the lookout for new, up-and-coming talent on the blues scene to share with you, but there are a lot of times where I enjoy digging into some of the classics as well. And I’m pretty sure you dig it too. I found myself digging through old Eric Clapton videos from his days with Otis Rush, Cream and in some of his early solo stuff. There’s so much to enjoy from this iconic guitarist, that it’s hard to fit it all into one post… fortunately I don’t have to. I found a few live videos performances to share from EC… I had a really hard time choosing, so there’s probably going to be a ‘part 2′ at some point soon. In the meantime, enjoy some of Clapton’s early work in these few videos below!!<\/p>\n

Clapton always considered Otis Rush to be one of his great influences… what’s funny is I seem to find myself gravitating towards Otis and a lot of the other Texas blues guitar greats.
