I don’t know if you guys are hip to the Bowlive show that Soulive and the Brooklyn Bowl put on back in 2010, but I have to say it was probably one of the best jams that comes to mind. Soulive, an instrumental fusion trio, hosted some of the best musicians in the business at a two week event featuring a slammin’ show every night. After I got through watching the DVD (which I highly recommend), I went searching for some of the tracks featuring Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes. Fortunately, people started sharing footage from the show for all of us to enjoy. My only wish is that I could have been there in person for the whole thing. I found three videos from the two week residency, featuring some all star talent doing what they love to do best. I hope you dig it all as much as I did!<\/p>\n

The first performance that really caught my eyes and ears was when Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi sat in with Soulive to perform “Soul Serenade.” Check out this awesome live rendition at http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=aAAwDEwX9nI<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I highly recommend seeing the DVD creating from the show called “Soulive: Bowlive – Live at the Brooklyn Bowl.” It’s refreshing to see musicians on stage, from a variety of music styles, celebrating pure soulful musicianship.
