{"id":52,"date":"2009-05-08T16:50:33","date_gmt":"2009-05-08T21:50:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bluesguitarunleashed.com\/blog\/?p=52"},"modified":"2009-05-08T16:50:33","modified_gmt":"2009-05-08T21:50:33","slug":"using-riffmaster-pro-to-look-at-the-road","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bluesguitarunleashed.com\/blog\/using-riffmaster-pro-to-look-at-the-road\/","title":{"rendered":"Using Riffmaster Pro To Look At The Road"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If you&#8217;ve read many of my emails or lessons, you&#8217;ve probably heard me talk about &#8220;looking at the road and not the wall&#8221; when you practice.<\/p>\n<p>What I mean by that is like race car drivers looking at the wall and thinking &#8220;oh I hope I don&#8217;t hit the wall,&#8221; you&#8217;ll end up sounding like what you play along with.<\/p>\n<p>If you always practice alone, and only hear what you are playing, and you are playing it wrong, it&#8217;s going to take a lot longer to play it right than if you play along with someone else who is playing it right. That someone else doesn&#8217;t have to actually be there, it could be the recording of the song.<\/p>\n<p>To that end, I made a video of how I like to play along with things using the loop and tempo functions of the Riffmaster Pro program. You don&#8217;t have to use that program, it&#8217;s just what I use and it is the best thing I&#8217;ve found for this purpose.
