Okay, it’s about time I covered one of the other great guitarists to have hit the music scene. Lonnie Mack has such a killer style of guitar playing and a voice like no other, suited perfectly for the blues. The man’s got a lot of soul and has played and recorded with some of the best in the business including Stevie Ray Vaughan, Albert Collins and Roy Buchanan, among many others. i found a bunch of great footage from two big concerts, one with SRV and Double Trouble at the Orpheum Theater and another with a variety of guests at Carnegie Hall. All the clips I’ve seen were outstanding and it made me wish I was sitting there in the audience with all the other fans. While it was hard to choose, I narrowed it down to three videos for this post. I purposely shared videos that I haven’t shared on my Facebook page before and these three made it. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did!<\/p>\n

Lonnie Mack and his band played with a variety of guests at Carnegie Hall in 1986. But he and his band played a few on their own as well. Here’s one of the band’s songs, “Satisfy Susie,” at http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=xhX1lfWZaNw<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Next Lonnie Mack wrote a hit instrumental song called, “Wham!” that really set the tone for a lot of guitarists that came after him. Here’s a live performance of the song with SRV and Double Trouble at http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=IbfgBlkSoqc<\/a>.<\/p>\n
