Yesterday, we lost one of the great English blues rock guitarists, none other than Alvin Lee. Alvin was known most often as the lead singer and guitarist for the band Ten Years After, which produced a multitude of hit songs throughout the band’s time. Alvin continued to play for most of his life and could shred with the best of them. I collected a few videos from Alvin featuring a couple of his hit songs and some killer guitar playing. One of Alvin’s most memorable performances was from Woodstock 1969 with his band Ten Years After. Then another one of his hits, featuring some ripping guitar parts, was “Slow Blues in C.” Then to finish off the post I included a major shred fest featuring Alvin in his element. I hope you dig it all as much as I did!<\/p>\n

The classic performance that catapulted Ten Years After into the record books had to have been Woodstock 1969. Check out one of their hit songs, “I’m Going Home,” at https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=bW5M5xljdCI<\/a>.<\/p>\n
