Coco Montoya is considered one of the heavy hitters on the touring blues scene today, and he seems like a guy who is staying true to the blues and works hard to keep live music alive. I admire these guys and strive to keep this great music alive in my own right and want to feature Coco in this post in case he’s new to you. I came across a great interview with Coco for guitar.com, recorded in two parts, that I hope you check out because there is a lot of great information in there whether you are a fan of his music or not. Then he’s hard for me to right a post like this without some killer music, so I shared a song from Coco called “Beyond the Blues” that is definitely worth a listen. I hope you enjoy it all as much as I did!<\/p>\n

Coco Montoya is a hard working blues musician and a straight shooter who comes off great in this two part interview. I really enjoyed learning a little bit more about his history and work ethic when it comes to playing music, and I hope you will too.
