Listening Party With Ian Moore

Ian Moore is a true artist with a passion for blues guitar.

If you haven't heard of guitarist and singer, Ian Moore, then you're in for a treat.  Granted even if you have heard him, you'll still enjoy the songs I collected for you in this post.  Moore is a great player with an awesome voice and can really deliver on stage.  He performed one of my favorite versions of Freddie King's song, "Me and My Guitar," and a few other tunes he did stand out to me too.  So I went online and found my top 3 Ian Moore picks to share with you.  I hope you enjoy them because I had a great time looking for them.

Let's hit it with a bang up front.  Ian Moore produced an album called, " Live From Austin," that has a killer version of Freddie King's song, "Me and My Guitar."  I found a video from the Ian Moore Reunion Band tour with that same great version of the song.  Check it out at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dShmwegnkpY.

Another favorite from Moore's songbook is the song, "Satisfied."  Unfortunately, I couldn't find a video performance of the Moore playing the song, so the true listening party starts now.  Find the song at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v-WJ5Pg1wUs.

My last pick from Ian Moore is his song, "Muddy Jesus."  The video I found is only audio, but that's only because most of the video performances didn't have good quality audio.  Check it out at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KcVvjRNuTR4&feature=related.

Ian Moore has a lot more videos online, so keeping on listening.  As always, it's been a pleasure getting these videos for you.  I really you enjoyed them too!

Thanks,

Griff

I saw Ian at a great club in Little Rock Arkansas years ago right after Muddy Jesus had just been released and I was truly amazed at the fine guitar playing and the tightness of his band. I found a really bad you tube copy of "Satisfied" but you can get the point.

I remember when they were calling Ian Moore the next Stevie Ray, and for good reason. The guy plays with some soul! Always loved that song Satisfied. Saw him at the Sandia Ski Area in 1999, playing in the open, on the side of the mountain. It was awesome. Still have his signature on the hat that I wore that day, and a photo of my wife and a friend's wife kissing him on the cheek at the same time, after the show.

I've been under his influence for a long time, raised my kids on him, saw him many times in Tulsa Ok. I thought everybody knew Ian's music.
