Slow Blue Jean Blues in Bmin - Complete

I’ll agree with you so that both of us are wrong.
OK, now for something completely different. After my last fast shuffle track, I figured that I would slow things down just a touch on this one:sleep::sleep::sneaky:. Most of you will find this track familiar from our bearded friends ZZ Top. I tried stealing a few of the licks but overall didn't attempt to figure out the actual solos note for note. I once again played my PRS using the Bias FX2 "Easy Blues" patch. I stretched the track out to about 13 minutes so there should be plenty of room. I took the first 2:16.

That was might fine pickin’ there Mike. Great tone and you really nailed the feel of this one. I find that I just need to take a few deep breaths before playing in order to keep my overpickingitus in check on these slow ones.

Amen brother, and thank you kindly. A disease I'm all too familiar with. I find listening to the backing track for a few minutes to mentally warm up helps quite a bit too. Can't just jump in without sounding like breaking glass.

Had OPI so bad back in the 70s, Alvin Lee called my Mom 'cause he got worried.

TZ - I see that you have really nailed the slow stuff as well as the fast!!!!(y)(y) Looks like I'll have to post a country & western waltz to see if I can find a weak spot.:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Mike - Beautiful. Great bends and tone. You really have settled in down here.(y)(y)

Paleo - Love that tone sir. Some great phrasing in that.(y)(y)

I'll give this a shot, if no one minds... or even if they do!

RECORDING

Back from the trenches. Making that change to a different DAW and what came natural with Cubase takes a little digging in the help files for StudioOne. Anyhow, I think I kept from destroying the original recording. I'm in from 6:20 to 8:22.

We would never mind you joining in the fun down here. Glad to have you back up and running with StudioOne. I’ll probably keep using Reaper until I die or give up playing. I’m a creature of habit and I don’t need the aggravation of learning new habits.
