One of the cardinal rules of song writing is to stay away from cliche's. So, me being me, that song is nothing but cliche's.It was raw---but I felt it----I would really like to hear you redo it----with some updated tech--it rocks---with a good story line. (from what I could make out)--

I'm sorry I'm late to the Charlie Daniels tribute thread. I loved Charlie Daniels. I'm sure I had all of his albums from back in the day and his boxed set more recently. I first saw him live in Laughlin, NV back in 1987. From within about 15' of him on stage. Just last summer, we saw him again in Gunnison, CO at the iBar Ranch. At 82 years, he could still sing and play. He came out and busted into "Drinkin My Baby Good-bye". The stage power went out just as he started his first fiddle solo of the song. So there was a wait while things got fixed and Charlie and the band adjourned to his bus to wait. Came back out and put on a hell of a show. Cuz that's what he did!
