hello from the uk ...i am coming to the end of major/minor blues shape course and i am wondering if The Slow Blues Supplement would be worth getting next or would i just learn what i am learning now .can anyone out there help
I've got both and David's right. The SBS solos are a bit more complex than MMBS, but the concept being taught is the same. The exercises are also a bit different in the sense that in MMBS the shift between the major and minor pattern always occurs at the root note while in SBS the change occurs after a certain number of beats, whether it's the root note or not. I found that the approach Griff used in MMBS helped me see the fretboard patterns & root note locations a bit better.
