Just watched a documentary on the mid sixties music scene in LA's Laurel Canyon.
The interviews were interesting ( Tom Petty, Roger McGuinn, Jackson Browne, Micelle Phillips, David Crosby, Ringo Starr, John Sebastian, Brian Wilson, Graham Nash, Steven Stills, Lou Adler, Eric Clapton) but I can't really say i cared much for the recreation of the music of the time by Jakob Dylan, Beck, Fiona Apple and friends.

I don't know I just sat there thinking I'd rather hear the original musicians play that song...

I can't really say i cared much for the recreation of the music of the time by Jakob Dylan, Beck, Fiona Apple and friends.

But it probably saved the documentarians a bunch of money.
