An easier way to play Solo 3, bar 39

Looking at the tab in my manual for Solo 3, bar 39, there's a slide on the fourth string from the 8th fret to the 6th fret, followed a few notes later by a second slide from the 6th fret back to the 8th fret. I was really struggling with this, so I finally decided to carefully study how Griff does it on the DVD. I also compared the printed tab in my book to the tab on the DVD.

On the DVD tab, the second slide isn't there--it's a hammer-on. And sure enough, that's what Griff plays. Bar 39 is a whole lot easier when the second slur is a hammer-on instead of a slide.

Great tip Mark. I'll have to have a look. Those two bars really gave me a hard time.
Thanks for sharing.

I played it with a hammer on anyway, without checking back on the video.  And I still had a hard time with those bars.

Yes, they still are tough. But at least now my fingers don't get quite so tangled up!
