Action Height

I like a low action and a straight neck (no relief).

On my Epi's with a 12" radius, I cut a "fall-away" from around the 16th fret to the end of the neck to eliminate any "fretting-out" of the strings so there's no buzz or muted notes.

This doesn't seem to be a problem on my PRS guitars even with a low action and I'm guessing the 10" radius on them may have something to do with it.

But oddly, I have other guitars with higher action that feel fine. I can't really figure out why that is, but as long as they feel comfortable and play well, I'm not going to change anything.

Oh and I also use a Quarter on the 12th fret as a benchmark height and after that it's all feel and sound.
As far as any residual fret buzz goes, a little isn't a big deal with electrics because I (or most anyone else) can't hear it once the amp goes on. But I do try to keep it to a minimum.
