I will send you my address if you want to rid yourself of this dust collector. I’ll even throw in $20 to help offset your shipping costs:Beer:.
Nope. The neck pickup is OK and sounds nice. It's the bridge pickup that falls on its face. And I love everything else about the guitar. One of these days I will yank out that bridge pickup and replace it with a Zexcoil Convertible Model T and a pull-up volume knob to switch it back and forth. https://lawingmusicalproducts.com/store/pickups/tch4

Fine looking Tele. I love my Strats and ES's and my Fender Flame and the variety and feel of each one but always come back to the Teles.

I too have never owned a Tele. I have a very modest collection of guitars, 2 electrics (Fender Strat, Epi Casino Coupe), 1 acoustic (Fender).
My next purchase will be a Tele. Maybe after that I'll go for a Gibson LP.

Welcome to the Tele club!

I have a 2011 Fender FSR Player Telecaster (MIM) that came with a 25db mid boost system that was connected to the tone control, and vintage noiseless pickups. I did not care for the mid boost system or the pickups (output was too high), so I removed and rewired for standard setup. I eventually put a set of Mojotone '52 Clone pickups (lower output) and now have a Blackguard style tele. It has a really nice soft V neck. This is my #1 guitar out of 4 (Tele, 2012 Am Std Strat, Epi Les Paul Custom Pro & Epi Dot).

I hope you get years of enjoyment out of your new tele!

I have a Squier Classic Vibe Slimline. I couldn't bond with it at all. I replaced the pickups with Lindy Fralins ... and still can't bond with it. I have never played a Tele with Tele-style single-coils that I could bond with. I am happy for you if a Tele is your holy grail, but mine just hangs on the wall totally neglected. It sounds "OK" but every other guitar I own trumps it.

I have a Squire Classic Vibe 50's Tele. It's a great guitar and have gigged it. But it doesn't compare to my AM Tele 60th Anniversary Tele which is my holy grail goto guitar.

A question, Ted. I've seen the guitar building workshops advertised (I'm in Ohio) and been intrigued. How happy were you with your guitar and with the experience? Maybe they'll have them this summer.

I've never owned a tele, always was a strat guy until my PRS. I've got my eye on a se custom, waiting to see if I can get a black Friday discount on it.

I’ll agree with you so that both of us are wrong.

I can’t speak for the other workshops that I have heard about, but I am 110% satisfied with the one I went to. Chase Gullet (Chasing Vintage Guitars) here in Delaware, Ohio put this one on. He builds custom guitars and was a great teacher. It was a small class so lots of one on one time. As for the guitar, it has become my favorite. This was my first tele. I have a strat and a PRS SE. like them both but the tele just has something special to it. I know they are not for everyone but don’t discount them until you try one out.
