Dusting off the acoustic

After concentrating on the electric for many years, I decided to get back to basics. I was working on Down to the Station and found myself throwing in licks I've played at jams and in the band. I think that's ok though. (n)I want to get back into some fingerpicking, although the thumping baseline is something I never really worked on before. Should be fun!

I've been listening to a lot of classics from Muddy Waters and John Lee Hooker lately.
You can't beat that driv'n thumb with a little finger pick'n.
Good luck on your quest.

I thought I remembered you recently saying you were going to take up the bass.

But now that you're talking about breaking out the acoustic I thought I must have been mistaken.

That's a lot on your plate.

So have you thought about taking up the harmonica, as well?:sneaky:

Still got the Blues!
Hey Tommy, You might also try Traveling Blues. I think Griff mentioned that it was based on Robert Johnson's "All My Love's In Vain". It's my go to song now on acoustic. For some reason I've not been able to remember all the changes in "The Spent Money Blues".
