I purchased an Epiphone 6 string while in the military way back in the 70's. I learned a few chords and bad habits before I set it aside a few months later. I decided now that I'm retired I should get serious and learn the correct way to play. Daily practice has toughened the fingers and learning to count is helping me actually play what may be considered something that sounds like music, not just random notes.

I need to say thanks Griff, your teaching style is doing wonders!

Welcome to the forum Greg. Counting is a huge part of the process, so if you nail that you're well on your way. Have fun.(y)
