New to me G&L

Hi, there folks new member here .... just bought a G&L s500 usa 1997 with mfd pick ups do you think it,s a good choice to play blues had a strat and telecasters before but just wondering what you specialist thing about that gear

Looks like a fine Blues guitar to me. It's a Strat clone. :Beer:

Leo Fender would probably have disagreed with characterizing it as a clone. He considered it the natural evolution of the strat had he held on to Fender. They really are nice playing/sounding guitars for the blues and just about everything else.

It's got the basic shape of a Strat body, bolt on neck, 3 single coils, tremolo bar, same woods are used, head-stock shape is basically the same. A good guitar, a good guitar for Blues........ :Beer:

Although it’s griff playing I get skeptical, all the same people you see them with different gear and they always say there great when money is invaled people will about say anything and I mean no disrespect to anyone

Griff tend to be pretty honest about what he likes and dislikes about gear. I know that I like my G&L ASAT a lot.
