July 4 is also the anniversary of Entebbe

In 1976, Israeli special forces made an audacious raid on Entebbe, in Uganda, where Jewish hostages from a highjacked airliner were being held. ( The non-Jews were let go.)

Some of our younger readers may not know about this event.

I know and remember this. It was a quite spectacular action, even for the Isreali’s.

In July of 76 I was 25 years old. I think that makes me old but it's all relative.

Oh- and the C-130s are still flying with an avionics upgrade.
