This neck pickup sounds incredible. I had it wound by Becky over at Wilde/Bill Lawrence for my Fender Mustang I restored and it sounded awesome, especially with the Q-filter wiring. I didn’t feel like going through the wait time for another so I bought a used Wilde L-45 off eBay to put in the Mustang (which works well as it had an L-90 in the bridge anyway) and stuck the L-298 in the neck of the new Strat.
It’s got a bit of a thicker sound than a typical Strat neck pickup but sounds great and matches well with the bridge humbucker.
