Finding Notes on Your Guitar

I was having trouble quickly locating the positions of the notes that appear on the fretboard chart on page 27. To simplify things, I made 12 different charts like the one below; one for C, one for G, one for D, etc.

Do you have a link to the post about the CAGED system? Being a newbie, I've never heard of it.   :-?

I'll see if I can find it Mark , it was sometime ago , however , from the above post of mine we are in C & the numbers above refer to 1 = C , 2 = A , 3 = G , 4 = E & 5 = D shapes you can begin that on any note & then follow it along.
