Revisit FunkyC-Mixdown - Complete

I thought I'd try something I heard Griff suggest a while ago and that is to limit yourself.
I decided to revisit this track and limit myself to just the first 3 strings (mostly the house pattern).

I thought it might be interesting to see what everyone else does with it too.

I take it until 1:30.

I’ll agree with you so that both of us are wrong.

Very nice Mike. You definitely got that BB groove going! I’ll try to jump in sometime over the next few days although limiting myself to 3 strings might just be more than I can handle:whistle:. I think it will be a great practice routine to maybe help me slow down a little and concentrate on the riffs.

I play 'err' guitar.
OK, a quick 3 progressions using the 2nd, 3rd and 4th strings of box 4 (with the C root on the 3rd string at the 5th and 17th frets).

I really just use the 4th string for the final V note of each progression, otherwise it's 2 strings for me.

Pickup selector change between 1st and 2nd progression.

In at 2:55 and out at 4:21.

Well, this is fun. Three strings, eh? That's some hard habits to fight and you all are doing such a great job at it.
I'll take a crack at this..

All righty then. I'll fess up. I plucked one note on the D string throughout the whole thing and it seemed as if fire alarms were going off in my head when I did it.

4:21~5:40

MarcV,
No limping at all, at nice burst across the finish line.
Tone is reminiscent of something familiar.........CCR?

Thanks Captain. Love CCR, but nothing intentional in tone just dialing up what sounds like good amount of OD, delay and reverb. Still playing with that part of it though
