Quinn Sullivan is one of the young, up-and-coming blues guitar players.

A few years back, Quinn Sullivan took the stage with Buddy Guy and killed it.  Sullivan has done some growing up and has toured with Buddy Guy playing his guitar for audiences all across the country.  Sullivan plays with a feeling that most guitarists take years to get, so I’m hoping he’ll stick with it and bring up a new generation of blues guitar players.  I found two videos that feature Quinn Sullivan playing on stage with blues legend, Buddy Guy.  Sullivan tears it up in both videos, and it’s pretty amazing to see the reaction from the great Buddy Guy.  I hope you enjoy the videos as much as I did!

First, the video that introduced me to a very young Quinn Sullivan.  Check out this awesome performance at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ix4TNJvVk8M.

I wanted to pull in a second video in this post that I only was just recently.  In only a few years, Quinn Sullivan has graduated to the microphone on stage.  He tells his story through the blues in this video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J4xVkTr01l0&feature=related.

Keep on the lookout for the young and very talented blues guitarist, Quinn Sullivan.  I have a feeling we’re going to see more of him very soon.

Thanks,

Griff

In my previous comment I should have said “an old soul in a young body.
      Sorry for leaving it incomplete.

After doing some research and reading it is true that this young man definitely has talent but it didn’t just come to him naturally. He practices up to 5 hours a day 6 days a week starting at age 5!!!!!!! No wonder he’s so good at 9. I’m sure he’ll find his own sound and style as he matures and wants to seperate himself from the pack of young guitarists that are showing up on youtube. Just look and you’ll see a bunch of amazing talent.
But Quinn does sound like an old soul in a young. He’s definitely got the feeling part down.

I am in awe, obviously and old man in a young mans body. The future looks bright indeed. Makes me, at 57, want to stop playing. NOT.

If that doesn’t motivate you, just hang up the guitar now and go find a cubicle.
