Pete Anderson isn’t exactly a household name for most guitar fans, but I guarantee you he has made a definite impact on the world of guitar.  Pete was the lead guitarist and producer for Dwight Yoakam from 1984 to 2002, and now works extensively on his own music and currently produces all the backing tracks for the famous Guitar Center King of the Blues competition.  Pete is considered to be one of the best Telecaster players in the Country & Western music genre, but is also a well versed player in many other styles.  To showcase his talent as a songwriter and guitarist, I thought it would be fun to share two video performances from Pete Anderson that are on two very different sides of the music spectrum.  I hope you’ll enjoy the music and versatility from Pete Anderson.

The first video features Pete Anderson in his traditional role alongside Country music superstar, Dwight Yoakam.  Anderson and Yoakam had a very successful music career together, so check out this performance at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=saaFAitiACw.

The next video offers a performance from another side of the music spectrum.  Pete Anderson performed along with the rest of the Dwight Yoakam backup band on a Canadian TV show.  Check out this other side of the band at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h1k7FnTdMpw&feature=related.

I hope you enjoyed this videos from Pete Anderson as much as I did.  He has made a huge impact as a guitarist and producer in the music world, and still continues to produce his own music along with tracks for the Guitar Center King of the Blues competition.

Thanks and take care,

Griff
