In this last video on our series about blues and arpeggios we’re going to mix together the sound of the minor blues scale (or pentatonic minor, same thing) and the arpeggios.

I’ll give you a couple of different ways to try to approach it:

And if you dig this stuff, you’d really love my new Chord By Chord Blues Soloing course so check it out!

      Hey Griff,
I think I picked this up in one of your BGU courses as I am now into playing along with Blues Jam Tracks in Am,C & G and E and of course used the Arpeggios from the Blues Scale for soloing. As said below I am sometimes play some of your BGU 5 Easy Blues Solos along with some Jam tracks but in difference Tempos.

      Great lesson as always.

      Cheers

      great! thanks!

The part about arpeggios always giving you a chord tone is a real eye-opener. I’m always looking for a “landing place” that sounds right, and I’ve always used the root of the chord. Now I have some other places/notes to shoot for. Thanks for that!

I started with bgu 2, then ended up becoming all access member for about a year. Starting to go back through the courses I own, because I have more time now. Griff is one of the best there is. Oh yeah this is a late reply to Richard, and I hope you are still plucking away.

I love Griff’s stuff, but there’s a lot. I bought 5 Easy Blues Solos. Not easy to me. More like impossible. Where did you begin your 14 month journey? Congrats on weaning off the headphones, btw!

So will Xplayer/Mplayer and Kaffiene and VLC on Linux… always have. It has never been a problem playing Griffs videos on Linux, not even the WMVs.

Merry Christmas! Griff, I have a great library of your videos along with the courses that I’ve gotten but are these last videos available for Windows. I would love to have them to refer to later on. Thanks so much for all you do! Rolly

Great stuff as usual Griff. I want to be able to use this technique and I know it will require “practice, practice, practice” so I will probably order up your course as a Christmas present to myself. Thank you and a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family.

Thanks griff for your teaching. I have been with you for 14 months now. My soloing has improved dramatically, so much that i stopped plugging in my headphones to my amp and my wife doesn’t mind listening now.😁 The arpeggios will be a nice addition. Merry Christmas
