I just recently purchased the system and have not yet caught up/on to these e-mails. I think it is great you help and add things as we go along… I am still struggling with barre cords. I know the fret board pretty well and most open chords just being 7 days into course… Great stuff thanks.

  6. Kerry says:

This ANSWERS some longtime questions I ve had-(and FINALLY unlocks sounds I have tried to get-
Whats the SMALLEST number of notes you can have in a guitar chord?(TWO?)(I always thought they were INTERVALS!
I always liked the 2 note stuff that Chuck Berry did(and on a 335(or a 345)….(I like sliding and bending those too(I love that sound-always have_
So you can CREATE 2 note chords? Do rhythm guitar parts just using 2 note chords?(as opposed to open chords or Barre chords?)
Keep up the great work!(your videos are great-(and I really learn from them!)
Thank you so much!Keep on Pickin’!
    Enjoy!

  7. Kerry says:

    Are there also 2 note 6 th 7th 9th and 11th (and 13th chords?)(just wondering!(and what about chord inversions(are those possible also?)

  8. Ken says:

WOW!!! There’s a whole lot of music going on there. Thanks, Griff.

  9. Larry Weddington says:

Griff, see many other patterns. I discovered playing the G7 and C7 playing at the 5th fret1st 4 string, the notes G D F and the B with the l4th finger. You arpeggio the notes like Down to the Station. The move the entire form to the 10 the fret.

Thanks for the video God wish I had you for a teacher forty years ago. You make it look so easy. The music is back in me dude thanks.when I can aford to buy your lessons I will .thanks again.bbking jr. Okay someday 🙂

  29. Pete Bas says:

Freddie K. probably heard that lick around Dallas from Ray Sharpe and ‘Linda Lou” 1959, he’s from Ft Worth. Tx blues from T-Bone on in the modern era on down. All us kid pickers learned that tune in the early sixties, and you are 100% correct you can slide that lick into a million songs. In those days you had to get that shuffle just right for the dancers, North Texas Push – South Texas Whip, same dance, greasy, nasty, and hard to keep your mind on your pickin with a dance floor full!! Good work, my friend, teach them what they need and keep it simple. Rock On, Griff.

  30. hep says:

“when the student is ready, the teacher will appear”.. Great job, Griff.

  33. Correction; That was a great lesson.

  34. Jens Fischer says:

especially helpful, Griff, thanks for the commitment you give to the improvement of your students.
I knew the single movements (they are all found in the BGU course) but the combination of them in
just one piece of music never occured to me. Easy to play but most effectiv practical. stuff.
    Keep on teaching
    Jens

  35. Hawboy says:

  41. bluesdawg says:

“toredown”…I have known it as “got to hurry” unsure of artist…LOVE those little Jazzy nuances…makes blues playing very tastey
    Keep up the awesome lessons….

  42. Idiotwind says:

…wish that I could see your video’s Griff but that little stupid Adobe Flash player window keeps popping up asking if a website can store info on my computer. I keep clicking the “No” button but nothing happens, it just gets stuck there so your video won’t play. You should contact Adobe and tell them to stop sabotaging your business. I mean it’s frustrating and really, really sucks! To make matters worse, they put the damned thing right in the center of the video so that we can’t see anything…this is nothing more than a corporate virus.

  43. tarheelbob says:

Video 2 really brings some things together for me, even above the BGU course. A bit of an “aha” moment. Thanks for the clarification. Gonna go plug in and give it a shot.

  44. Jan says:

  46. Bob Schilling says:

This is long overdue feedback. Griff you are incredibly generous. While I’ve bought two of your courses, I think I’ve received more than one full free course in all these lessons you just put out there for us. I, like probably 90% of the folks who have been following you, have looked at lots of other courses and checked out lots of other instructors. You personality, method of instruction and your course content are the best by a mile! Thanks! Sorry it’s taken so long to acknowledge all you’ve given beyond quality courses.

  47. Tea says:

Hey Griff. this is the 3rd one I’ve gotten, that doesn’t play: as long as you are talking, it sound
fine. but when you start to play” it sound like it’s all mixed up. sound like two of three guitar’s
are playing over the top of each other.
I checked my computer & everything is fine, so could you please tell me how to get this to
    play.

    Thanks

  48. Craig35 says:

Great lesson, guess mainly cause this is the kind of stuff that aligns with where I’m at as a musician and a guitarist. I’ve recently started working in a band setting, other musicians and so much stuff like this is making sense. Seems like I have a revalation about everyday. Anyway any lessons along these lines where you’re looking a music construction is worth it.

  49. Robert Rhodes says:

Thanks again Griff for another multitude of combinations to try out and get allot Bigger bag to keep them in

  50. Guy Braswell says:

Great stuff as usual, simple and well taught!!
